Happy New Year.

Well, happy new year everyone. You'll be happy to know the transition from '06 to '07 was relatively uneventful....GF and I made gumbo, sensation salad, a delicious artichoke dip and some camel toe dessert candies.

Camel Toes. (see above)

It was my first time cooking gumbo despite the fact that I am 30 and from South Louisiana but, I must say, it was darn good. In fact, my GF said it was "the best gumbo ever...." She was probably just buttering me up so that she good get in some good snuggle time before the end of the year, but it worked. We drank some Veuve Cliquot as our celebratory beverage, danced around the living room with the dogs for a while, chatted with some strangers walking down the street and called it a night just before the clock struck 12. Some may say that was a really boring way to ring in the new year, but I thought it was perfect. Quiet, fun, good food and wine...what else could a girl ask for? Maybe a winning lottery ticket, but no such luck.

Today, the first day of the year, we have spend doing absolutely nothing. I think it's a darn fine way to start of 2007. Cheers everyone!

As I was trying to say (me above), "cuddle time" is a sorry euphemism, Mary.

But happy new year nonetheless.

Mary sucks as a blogger! She might as well quit.
