Quarter 8, 6 weeks left.

It is about that time when I am feeling overwhelmed, unproductive and stuck. I have so much to do, so little motivation and I am starting to look at my work and feel like it is all shit. 6 weeks until it is all over and we sign off and are *graduated*...and then the next chapter of my life begins. Will I EVER get there and will I be satisfied with the work I have done?

those last weeks are a bitch. i didn't know what to think about any of my stuff during that entire quarter. i didn't know what to think about it for a couple of months afterward. i was just in some kind of daze and a little bit numb.

it's hard to make yourself do the work when you can't even think straight. but you'll make it and your book will be great.

the answer to your question is no. you will not be satisfied. and that's what keeps us great is our inability to quit until it's perfect. but that's what also makes us crazy - because it's never really 'perfect.' You will, however, push so hard and do such amazing work. At the end you may look at it be like BAH! this is SHIT! but then in your first interview, you'll be showing your work, and the interviewers will be blown away by how good it is. and you'll sit back for a microsecond and think, yeah man. maybe i am pretty good. but you won't feel good until that moment so don't expect it. 8th quarter is painful. accept that and move on. don't try to be happy - just do your work and enjoy yourself when you have the chance. don't question the misery. you don't have time to question it. just be it, and then you'll be done.

K is right. Just remember that they're student projects, so really "push the envelpe" (ew, I can't believe I said that) because potential bosses will love that. Also make time to have many a large glass of wine...because you did it, and you made it! Feel free to email me if you have any questions/need anything. I know it's a bitch.

live the madness. accept the uncertainty. believe in your ability to think and create. allow yourself to have some fun (and wine.)

the fact is, it will get done. it will be fantastic. and it will take up to the last minute. so, a glass of wine now and NOW won't hurt anything ...

like A said, email with anything. we feel your pain!

you'll never be satisfied and you'll always want more. that's why you'll be great.
